The Punisher Invades the 'Nam

The Punisher Invades the 'Nam - Don Lomax, Alberto Saichann, Joe Kubert The Punisher has always been, in my eyes, a sort of mix between Batman and Rambo. This story however, focusing on Frank Castle's time spent in the Vietnam War before he was The Punisher, plays out more like a Rambo story than a Batman one. Plus Frank Castle's persona feels more like Captain America than it does The Punisher. It could of worked well, the story had potential, but it only showed slight glimmers of wellness surrounded by buckets of failure, unfortunately.

The Punisher in his 'Nam days was a theme later returned to in [b:The Punisher MAX: Born|106981|The Punisher MAX Born|Garth Ennis|http://d.gr-assets.com/books/1347297214s/106981.jpg|947018], which I have not yet read but will in time. Perhaps the story was better handled there.
